About the Show
Direct from London’s West End, Tiano, the genre-defying tenor & piano duo comprising Shimi Goodman (Evita, Chicago, original UK cast of Dirty Dancing) and multi award winning pianist and composer Chris Hamilton (“Wizard on the keys” – Steve Ross), returns to Arts Express after their dazzling debut last year.
Alongside reimagined selections from Broadway, pop songs combined with classical piano, and astounding medleys you didn’t know you needed, their program includes original songs written by the duo, revealing a more personal side of their musical collaboration. Tiano’s extensive resume includes sell out performances at London’s iconic Crazy Coqs in Piccadilly, a headline show at the Wales Millennium Centre, a triumphant 2025 US debut at Mr. Finn’s Cabaret where their show was hailed as “a highlight in our season” by the Artistic Director, Alan Paul, shows at The Composers Room in Las Vegas, and their NYC debut earlier this year at 54 Below.
Reviewing their 54 Below show, The Reubens Report wrote that Tiano “light up a room with their unique talents,” calling Hamilton and Goodman “the Liberace and Pavarotti of the twenty-first century.” Legendary New York cabaret artist Steve Ross called the evening “just stunning,” praising their “music-making at the highest level,” Chris’s “virtuoso work at the 88s” and Shimi’s “truly spell-binding vocalizing.”

Shimi Goodman - Tenor
Shimi made his West End debut playing Akaash in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Bombay Dreams. He played Mary Sunshine in Chicago alongside Brooke Shields, Linda Carter and Christie Brinkley, was in the original cast of the hit West End show Dirty Dancing and played the role of Che in Evita. He also created the lead part of Samuel in the world premiere of Salt & Honey in Jerusalem. “He’s a looker, a hoofer and BOY can he sing.” Whatsonstage. Chris Hamilton - Piano
Chris is a multi award winning pianist and composer. After studying Law at Oxford University and working as an attorney in both London and New York, he decided to focus on performing full time. Chris has performed internationally from the House of Commons to Bangkok. He has been described by New York critics as "the real deal" and "a total showman”. In the UK, The Daily Telegraph hailed him as "an ace pianist”. The British Theatre Guide stated that “Hamilton is clearly a very gifted composer.” “His wit and style is from another era.
