About the Show

Winner of six Tony Awards, Dear Evan Hansen is a deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical that explores the need for human connection in today's noisy, fast-paced society. It follows Evan, an adolescent who struggles with social anxiety disorder. When a sudden death shocks the community, it thrusts him into the center of a rapidly evolving controversy. A letter meant to stay private, a truth that was never supposed to come to light, a life he never imagined possible. Evan Hansen is on the verge of getting the one thing he’s always desired, a chance to truly belong.

PG-13. Intense emotional themes, discussions of suicide methods, bullying, drug (prescription medication) and alcohol use, severe anxiety and grief, references to sexual acts and teenage kissing, as well as moderate profanity.

At Arts Express Theatre, we pride ourselves in making our productions accessible and enjoyable for all patrons. Your party (no matter the size) will receive it's own table, which can adjust based on your individual needs.The layout of theatre seating changes some on a show-by-show basis, but always follows a basic pattern:

A Row Tables (Front): This premium seating is closest to the stage. Maximum 4 guests per table.;

B & C Row Tables: These standard-height tables. Maximum 6 guests per table.;

D Row Tables (High-Top): These tables are at a "bar height," with stools. Maximum 4 guests per table.;

E Row Tables (Mezzanine): Two-top tables, accessible by stairs.;

Row Tables (Mezzanine): Accessible using stairs or our ADA Compliant Ramp, this location consists of elevated seating at a standard-height table. Maximum 6 guests per table.;

G Row Tables (Mezzanine): The highest available seating in our theatre, accessible by stairs. Maximum 6 guests per table.
