Thank you for your interest in Arts Express Theatre’s arts education programs. AET strives to provide the Tucson community with opportunities to experience first-rate arts education programs throughout the year. We wish to include all interested participants in our arts education programs. Requests for scholarships, therefore, are accepted for any individual/family who would otherwise be unable to participate in these programs due to financial difficulties. Scholarships are based on Arizona’s Title 1 guidelines. Applicants must be willing to submit financial information in order to be considered for a scholarship. Scholarships are good for one year and are applicable for all Arts Express arts education programs offered during the scholarship period (including the Drama Club, Classes/Workshops and Summer Camps).

All scholarship applications are held in strict confidence. If we do not receive the required information, your application will not be processed. If reapplying for a scholarship, you must submit current information and an application for each request. Scholarship applications must be submitted one month prior to the first day of class/camp whenever possible. Requests are reviewed in order in which they are received. The more we know about your situation, the better able we are to consider your request. Scholarships shall be based on eligibility requirements (see qualification scale below) and are available for up to fifty percent of the program. Please note, any additional costs for performing (show attire, meals etc.) are not covered by scholarship funds and are therefore your responsibility. You will be notified by phone or email as to the decision regarding your application.

In order to secure scholarship funding, program registration and payment of remaining tuition fees must be completed within three days of approval, unless special arrangements are made with Arts Express Theatre administration.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on gifts of time, talent and treasure. We ask that those who receive scholarships to volunteer with Arts Express as part of the scholarship process. Scholarships are non-transferable and the scholarship policies are subject to change. Arts Express Theatre reserves the right to revoke a granted scholarship.
