Experience the process of Costume Designing a show, from reading and analyzing a script, to developing ideas, to finalizing and executing your design plan. As in the real world, there may be a few curve balls and challenges along the way! You’ll develop a complete presentation package that will enhance your theatre portfolio.

QLab Technical Theatre Show Control • Ages 14 - Adult
Delve into the inner-workings of the best show control application in the world: Figure53’s QLab. As the go-to application for concerts, musicals, corporate events and even theme parks, the simplicity of the program allows users to easily manage the basics, while the complexity supports endless possibilities for making even the most ridiculous ideas and intense sequences a reality. Through a series of six sessions, you’ll learn the basics then raise the bar to compose an entirely scripted program from scratch, utilizing advanced functions and optimization.
Course Requirements: You must own or have access to a Mac computer and have QLab downloaded on your computer prior to first class. QLab is free! In addition, you must own or have access to a set of over-the-ear headphones

My Artistic Blueprint • Ages 14 - Adult
The BLUEPRINT program focuses on college and career preparation to enter the world of professional theatre. Learn about career paths for theatre. including performing, arts management and marketing and the various areas of technical theatre. Get the inside scoop on current trends in internships, casting and the industry as a whole. Build an understanding of how to survive and thrive as an artist, including topics like personal finance, unions, professional conduct and how to develop and sustain career opportunities. Through panel discussions, break-out-sessions, real-life examples and mentoring, students will develop their own BLUEPRINT to realize their dream of a career in the performing arts.
